Welcome to the World of
Sauna
|
Q:
What is a sauna? |
|
A:
A sauna is a dry heat bath taken in a
well-insulated room lined with untreated, kiln-dried soft
wood and heated with igneous rocks. Optimal sauna
temperatures range from 160° to 190° Fahrenheit. Relative
humidity levels, which are controlled by the bather
sprinkling water on the hot rocks, range between 10% and 30%
depending upon preference. |

|
A
sauna is a peaceful refuge from the stress of daily living - a
soothing, dry heat environment that relaxes and refreshes, to
leave you feeling healthier than ever before.
Saunas have been enjoyed for centuries by people
throughout the world. Medical research indicates that
regular sauna bathing can provide the following health
benefits: |
|
 |
- Deep clean the skin by opening pores and flushing
impurities from the body
- Promote weight loss by increasing metabolism and
burning calories
- Improve blood circulation by raising body temperature
and heart rate
- Accelerate muscle recovery following strenuous
exercise
- Relieve tension headaches, muscle and joint pain
- Induce a deeper, more relaxing sleep
